We play campfire drinking games for adults.
Last year Ryelies summer campfire was postponed due to a fire. She was evacuated and had to be picked up at 1 am. This year her camp session was canceled because all the pathways were closed and the air quality was terrible from the current fires. However, Girl Scouts is doing an amazing job. They came up with a plan b and she is now at cam WiWoCa and doing all kinds of makeup activities. I received an email on the campers status and was able to see some pictures of her first day.
Campfire of faith relief society lesson.
This young woman is beyond amazing to me. She is doing a summer camp today and tomorrow, yep all night too. I went to Kandice’s summer camp today to teach 16 kids how to sew bean bags. They seemed so excied to make something like that and were proud of their finished product. She has all kinds of activities planned. In this picture she is setting up a game for the kids to play with their new bean bags. I have said it before and I will say it again, Kandice you are such a great mother and amazing grown up, to which I still don’t know when that happened because you will always be that little girl with the huge blue eyes and “no tude”. I love that you are just in the moment making memories and are so passionate about creating a fun time for those kidos. Your friends are the luckiest to have you in their lives and so am I. Thanks for letting me share in your summer camp. You’re a rock star!
We are off to such a great start at Summer Campfire Society!! What a great group of kids! I’m so excited to have them and they are all so kind and nice to each other! It’s going to be a great summer camp experience! the kids came in this morning and played with lots of S.T.E.M building toys. Loved seeing their imaginations and teamwork!
Also today, we also played an icebreaker name game, sang some camp songs, including a new one this year called, “Pizza Man”, used scooters to race (big kids had to toss bean bags while they scooted!), worked on creating scratch art butterflies, did acro activities with mats, the trampoline, and balance beam, listened to the folktale, “Why Mosquitos Buzz in People’s Ears” while doodle drawing while on their bellies to engage their core muscles, had a snack of goldfish and apples, and finally, played some fun team cup games to develop their gross and fine motor coordination. I’m tired just thinking about all of it!!!
